Indianapolis, IN – Ramon Jackson was born and raised in “Naptown”, Indianapolis, IN. It was there where he developed his music roots in the church. He embarked on his music career in 2015 after moving to NYC where he learned more about the industry. Ramon is a multi-genre artist specializing in Blues, R&B and Pop. He released his debut album “The First Time” in 2017 and had 2 songs in syndication in 8 countries. That success created opportunities for multiple recurring shows in London, Paris, Rotterdam and Gothenburg as well as cities across the United states. With his highly anticipated 4th album on the way, you’re sure to find several elements of music you connect to with this diverse artist.

SM- Tell us about what you’re currently promoting?
I am currently promoting my 4th album “Champion” that drops on February 10th. I have dropped a few singles from the project, and they are doing well.

SM- What continues to be the motivational factor for you?
I am motivated by people who tell me I inspire them. I think for any artist it is flattering and encouraging that what we create inspires people to live more intentionally.

SM- What was the most challenging thing you had to overcome to get to where you are now?
The more challenging thing was being open to moving around a lot which meant not attaching myself to "things" that could anchor me to one location or slow me down. I have had to purge my closet several times because I shop too much. It is not conducive
to all the touring.

SM- What values are important to you when it comes to building your business?
The most important values have been networking, follow through, and integrity. People definitely want to work with reliable artists, so I pride myself on my reliability.

SM- Were there other supportive individuals involved in making this project a huge success?
Definitely. This project was produced by Rashad Coes who has been producing since the 90s. He’s worked with some of my favorite artists, so it was both an honor to work with him and a growth experience.

SM- What can people expect from you next?
I think people can expect me to continue being multi-genre, authentic artist. I write music that I feel is relevant to life’s journey so there’s always a variety of messages, struggles, triumphs, beats, vocal styles. I look at variety like a good chef looks at spices and ingredients. You need many things to make a recipe pop.

SM- What is one final thought that you want to leave with our readers?
Listen to you Braveheart. No matter what life throws at you, follow YOUR heart’s desires. Challenges are going to arise no matter what so you may as well be challenged by doing what you really want to be doing. Find a way to make it happen and go enjoy.
