Detroit Michigan – Mersiless Amir is a Detroit Rap Icon. One of the original lyrical artists from the city, he’s known best for the complex technical rhyme structures that he delivered on his debut single “A Day Without A Rhyme” which quickly became a Detroit Hip Hop Anthem and still remains the stuff of legend Often compared to the God Emcee Rakim, Amir’s music encapsulates a touch of wisdom along with a sophisticated street sense that resonates though out the verses & stanza’s. In pursuit of the dream Amir had the opportunities to travel to America’s music business capitols.

Recording in Hollywood with the Dj Quik Camp & working under the mentorship of “Grand Master Flash” in the Bronx, Amir leveled up his flow and honed his production skills. The next stop was overseas where he signed a recording contract with the Polydor label which was a major learning experience.

Proactive where his career is concerned Amir moved to Los Angeles where he worked with some a list artists such as Aaliyah, Christina Aguilera, and most recently Teddy Riley. Mersiless released the new Triple album titled “True Legend” in February 2022, the 1st Triple CD in Detroit Rap History. Producing several of the songs himself he is also accompanied by producers Nick Speed, K.I.D.D. & Symphony The Great. Features include Young Bleed, T-3 Slum Village Big Herk, Kuniva D-12 and more. Amir is looking ahead to the future of music with heat vision.

We recently had the opportunity to connect with the frontrunner from the Motor City, here’s a quick 1 on 1 check-in with him about his latest.

SM- Tell us about what you’re currently promoting?

I’m currently ramping up to the release of my 6th studio album “LEGENDHOOD” which I produced, and it features some incredible artists and innovations in music. I display a wide array of technical lyrical performances, asserting entertaining yet meaningful content. The artwork and merchandise were crafted by me to accentuate to music and equip the listener/consumer with a guide and the gear, for this cosmic sonic journey…

SM- What continues to be the motivational factor for you?

My love and appreciation for life and music past & present, continues to be a motivational factor.

SM- What was the most challenging thing you had to overcome to get to where you are now?

The most challenging thing I had to overcome was the music industry. After having major label recording and development deals, I had to realize that the fame machine was not a necessary component in my success as an artist.

SM- What values are important to you when it comes to building your business?

When it comes to building my business, loyalty, respect, appreciation for those who value my art, and the power of the dollar are among the most important values.

SM- Were there other supportive individuals involved in making this project a huge success?

The most supportive individuals involved in making this project a huge success were, The Creator, My Mother, Tony T-Money Green, Sterling Toles, Alia Norrae, Motsi Ski DMW and thanks to everyone who is featured on the project or helped in any way, physically or spiritually.

SM- What can people expect from you next?

Expect for me to remain a G Force from beyond time, expect for me to continue to flow fire forever.
