We recently had the opportunity to touch basis with the dynamic duo J.A.G.2 & Tha Big O out of Atlanta Georgia to talk about their latest projects, here’s a One on One exclusive about their latest….
SM- What’s going on fellas, what are you guys currently promoting?
We are currently promoting award nominations as well as going public with our first feature film “Pride and Envy”; which will star J.A.G.2 and the entire Ruthless Killa Family written by Jerry Gibson Jr. and will be produced and directed by Tha Big O.
SM- What continues to be the motivational factor for the company?
The fact that independently we have accomplished so much as a company, but we still feel like were not getting the respect we deserve. We won awards from the south to the west coast, been on tour, sold thousands of records and recorded over millions digital streams but still feel like by some were treated as an option.
SM- What was the most challenging thing you had to overcome to get to where you are now?
Keeping the company name and businesses going when the CEO’s father passed and he had to step away from the companies during his bereavement. We never knew how valuable he was until he wasn’t accessible at that time.
SM- What values are important to you when it comes to building your business?
To us as a unit it is trust and teamwork. A lot of people have come and gone but as long as the foundation stays strong we can withstand anything that comes our way that’s formed to go against us.
SM- Were there other supportive individuals involved in making this project a huge success?
Yes, the team as a whole and all the real supporters who be paying attention to what we have going on. But most definitely our international supporters from Africa to the Dominican Republic who check in with CEO to stay up to date with the team.
SM- What can people expect from yall next?
We will be making an appearance at the Yo ATL Raps Awards where we are nominated in several categories with multiple artists, and we will also be attending the First Annual Southern Indie Radio Music Awards here in Atlanta May 17th. We start filming “Pride and Envy” in June and also we will be hitting the Fleet DJs big stage this year at their annual music conference plus a host of other events that’s in the works.
SM- What is one final thought that you want to leave with our readers?
This year our mission is personal we just want the world to know that when it comes to the entire Ruthless Killa Brand and all companies affiliated we will not be an option we will conduct all business as a priority company or it ain’tt nothing to discuss we know what were worth but it’s time to let the industry know .
