We recently had the opportunity to go One-on-One with one of South Central’s dopest artist in the state, here’s a One on One exclusive about her latest….

SM- What message are you hoping to get across to people by doing what you do as a true artist?
No matter where you start, never give up on your dreams. Life will throw challenges your way, but your story isn’t over until you say it is. Stay true to yourself, trust the process, and remember that even in your lowest moments, there’s always a way up. If I can make it through everything I’ve been through, so can you.

SM- Nice! Tell us about what you’re promoting and the details around it?
We’re currently promoting the single, “Meet Me at The Slauson.” Then we’ll be following up with the 2nd single “No More Apologies.” By the beginning of the 2nd Quarter, a Mixtape and EP should be dropping.

SM- What’s unique about your current and next project that separates it from the rest?
Authenticity, perseverance, and family. Authenticity is huge for me, being real with my fans and staying true to myself, no matter what’s trending. Perseverance is key because I’ve faced a lot of adversity and still keep pushing forward. And, of course, family: without the support of my mom and the drive to create a better future for my daughter, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I believe in hard work and staying true to the hustle. I value independence and self-reliance but also know that collaboration and surrounding yourself with like-minded people who support your vision is crucial. Trust is another value I hold dear, whether it’s with my team, my fans, or those who believe in my music. Without trust, nothing can grow.

SM- Was there anyone in your circle that contributed to making this campaign a success? 
Yes, definitely. My mom has been my rock, she helped raise my daughter when I had to focus on building my career. There are also a few key mentors and producers who have supported me in the studio and gave me the space to experiment with my sound. Plus, my fans have been incredible, they have stuck with me through the ups and downs and are the reason I keep going. The support of others is what makes every success feel even sweeter.

SM- We all go through ups and downs in the industry, who is the inspiration behind what you do?
My daughter is my biggest motivation. Everything I do is for her. Being a single mother, I want to show her that no matter the struggles or obstacles, you can still chase your dreams and create your own success. I’m also driven by my love for music, it is my therapy and my voice. It’s the way I express who I am, and I want to share that with the world.

SM- What are some other things people can expect from you in the near future?
I am constantly working on new music, exploring different genres, and evolving as an artist. People can expect more collaborations, some fresh sounds, and deeper storytelling. I’m also working on projects that blend my passion for journalism and music, creating a bridge between the two. Expect a lot of growth and authenticity from me in the near future.

SM- Why is this go around so valuable to you? And why now?
Homelessness and the uncertainty of life as a young single mother. There were times I didn’t know where I would sleep or how I was going to take care of my daughter. But I always knew that music was my way out, and it kept me going. Rebuilding my life and bringing my daughter back home in 2024 was a turning point. From that moment on, I made a promise to never let those struggles define me but instead fuel my ambition.
