Atlanta, Georgia – With 17 years in the industry, Bigg Jigg is a UMG artist, radio host with The Dinner Club, an iHeart radio show (1100 AM, Atlanta, GA), and is also a former BET 106 & Park Freestyle Friday champion. He was the reigning champ for 4 consecutive weeks, and that was just the push he needed to launch his music career. According to Bigg Jigg, “Life has a way of placing you in the right place at the right time,” and he has managed to turn his dreams into reality, but music was not always part of his life plan. Before officially beginning his music career back in 1999, Bigg Jigg recalls “I had some homies that were rappers and they wanted me to do a record with them, for fun, just to see how it would sound. I did it, but I didn’t take it too seriously at the time.”
After receiving positive feedback, several listeners who thought his verses on the track “went hard,” Jigg decided to explore the music game. In 2001, Jigg hooked up with R&B singer Janet to do his first official track titled, “Let Me In,” and the response to the track allowed him to see his potential and take his music to the next level. The Chicago born rapper took his animated style and intense lyrical ability, and created a 100K+ movement that stems from East to West Coast. Charming with the ladies, he’s affectionately nicknamed LLCool ‘JIGG’ for his captivating gray eyes, magnetic smile and impeccable taste in personalized jewelry and clothing. Bigg Jigg IS the definition of ‘bossed out drip’ from head to toe, and has modeled, been featured in a play (“The Corner”), as well as, urban movies.
For the past 12 years, Bigg Jigg has been touring and hosting artist showcases in over 40 U.S. cities, including during A3C and SXSW, and graced numerous magazine covers, i.e., Ozone, Rap Pages, Urban Grind and XXL, just to name a few. Bigg Jigg is featured on mixtapes by DJ Drama and DJ Smallz, and has also appeared on numerous radio shows and television shows, like Rap City in the Basement (B.E.T.), Hot Import Nights Car Show sponsored by Boost Mobile, and NYC’s Video City with host Nina B, where his fan base and exposure became even more amplified. With singles featuring Baby Bash, T-Pain, Tyrese, Akon, Nelly Furtado, Yung Joc, and Gucci Mane, Bigg Jigg says, “I make music that anyone and everyone can relate to,” Jigg says. “I’ve got something for the streets, the kids, the young cats, and even something for the older ‘boom bap’ crowd.”
Bigg Jigg’s focus is to give the streets AND the industry what’s missing–originality and eclectic flavor through his “Go2Man Publishing” and “Talk2EmJigg,” movement. He has expanded into artist development, using his struggles and successes to help other artists. “I want to make a pathway for other up-and-coming artists,” Jigg says. “There are a lot of artists out there that have the talent, but don’t have the connections or investment funding to get to the next level. I have almost 2 decades of experience with that. I want to be their outlet and help them reach their goals. If you don’t know the name, check the chain—BIGG JIGG!”
In 2019 alone, Bigg Jigg has hosted over 50 events across the U.S. from California to New York. References available upon request.
