SM- What message are you hoping to get across to the people by doing what you do?

Never give up on your dreams. Sometimes they seem too far to reach, but if you are not trying to reach them you will never grab them, Keep doing with you love and ignore the haters and stay away from toxic and negative people. Never let anyone steal your Joy. And most importantly KNOW YOUR WORTH!

Dianna S. Liner is the Founder/Managing Member of Liner Entertainment Group, Inc. A SAG−AFTRA Affiliated Management Firm. Music Distributed by The Orchard (A Sony Music Company) and Executive Film Producer for Liner Films LLC. Ms. Liner brings more than 20 years of experience, having worked with many highly successful professionals and organizations in a career that has touched virtually every aspect of the entertainment world. She started her career as a back-up vocalist, touring with bands. With an interest in learning the business side of music, she became an assistant to the record label representatives for N’Sync and other notable touring groups in the early 90’s.

This provided her the essential exposure to the nuances of large event promotion, from artist and venue procurement to sponsor packaging and marketing throughout. She parleyed this experience into a role at MTV Networks as a roving music reporter from 1992−1995, then into positions at MIX 96.5 FM and 104 KRBE FM, the top pop radio stations in Houston from 1995−1998. She became a marketing representative for Aware/ Columbia Records in 1998, where she worked directly with notable groups and performers such as Nsync, John Mayer, Five for Fighting, and others. She later moved on to Tommy Boy Records, working as an artist representative for Everlast, Amber and others.

Liner Entertainment Group was formed in 2001 for the purpose of managing the careers of performing artists. Having engendered many important and meaningful relationships in the music business throughout her career, Liner has since evolved into other areas of viable areas of entertainment, such as movie production, event planning and promotions. In 2019, Ms. Liner launched Liner Films LLC. She is a proud member of Women in Music and Women in Film and TV and a Member of Texas Country Music Association.

SM- Tell us about what you’re promoting and the details around it?

My entertainment agency. Seeking new talent. And PR Services for the entertainment industry.

SM- What’s unique about this that separates it from the rest?

Honesty, and Integrity.

SM- Who was a part of this project that contributed to its success?

Having clients and artists that believe in their craft and my ability to help them succeed. Communication from my clients is necessary. In the past it has been an issue but now I will not sign or work with any artists or clients whom I can get on the phone, or I haven’t heard from.

SM- What is the inspiration behind what you do?

The feeling of accomplishment after achieving a goal that required so much sacrifice and energy.

SM- What are some other things people can expect from you in the near future?

The next hot recording artists, a few films I am executive producing, and talent shows seeking the next Pop sensations.

SM- Why is this so valuable to you? And why now?

Being a woman in the music and entertainment industry, a Black woman. Back when I started it was a different world, and people treated me different because I managed White artists. It took hard work and ignoring the haters and negative people that kept me going. The world and industry have changed it still a bit of a struggle, mainly because how music business has changed but it’s worth the fight because I love what I do.
