Ceo, that’s your emcee name? what does it mean to you?
Can’t Ever Outdo. Looking back now it’s a cringey meaning and I’ve been thinking about changing the meaning for years, but I think it’s too late to go by anything else haha
Describe your creative genius in a paragraph
My creative genius comes from whatever beat I make. I don’t write without the beat. If it moves me and makes me feel like no one else deserves this beat but me, I make sure everyone feels the same way after I’m done with it.
When you piece together bars, what’s your process?
I just write until I find a scheme. There’s bars in every song I make, no matter if it’s a hard song or not. I’m really good at this trap shit, but my BAG is that authentic, grimey, bleeding on the beat boom bap shit. That’s what I started on and there’s elements of that in everything I do.
Any habits you have when you’re writing your music?
I’m extremely organized. I label every verse, and hook with the amount of bars each one contains in parentheses. I also put time stamps on every segment of the song. I have no idea why I do that shit but I can’t write a verse without doing it.
Who would you love to collaborate on a project with?
Out of anyone, it would have to be someone who’s as versatile as me. Not just with producing and engineering, I have those bases covered. I’m talking in regards to versatility in the music. That would be people like Drake, Tory Lanez,
Since you’re from Virginia, which VA artist would you love to rap with and why?
There are so many that I want to work with and I kinda hate you for this question lol, but here’s my top 3.
- Nickelus F. I just feel like him and I could make something fucking insane no matter what kind of song we make.
- Fly Anakin. He has the most authentic golden era sound that I’ve ever heard from someone his age. It’s like he fucking time traveled or some shit I can’t explain it with words.
- Michael Millions. Him and I have had talks in the past, and he’s such a genuine guy. But don’t get it twisted, he really can make any artist feel insecure when it comes to his pen and his delivery.
Give me three metaphors comparing hip hop to your peace.
Hip Hop hasn’t made me feel at peace, it made me feel at home. My mental health is always better when I’m home, because I’m able to talk about it as freely and explicitly as possible. For as long as I’ve been creating (Don’t get me wrong, there’s times when I don’t feel this way), I’ve been given a life that’s worth creating for.
Any shout outs?
Shout out to my family, my girlfriend, and to my Lovelace and RXHVIZ family.
Final thoughts?
